is currently in collaboration with a manufacturing firm located in Collegeville, PA, for the provision of a Staff Accountant. This role is a contractual position intended to fill a medical leave vacancy, anticipated to last between six to nine months.
Salary:
$32-$35/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate month-end closing procedures- Generate and analyze monthly journal entries- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and sign-offs- Perform variance analysis on financial statements- Regularly prepare and update balance sheet reconciliations- Manage prepaid expenses, including schedule setup for expense recognition- Handle Fixed Assets, including depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals; familiarity with Sage Fixed Assets beneficial- Provide support for state and local tax issues, including report generation and notice follow-ups under senior accountant guidance- Participate in ad hoc projects and documentation preparation for audits- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and ERP system testing
Qualities:- Meticulous and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset- Capable of working autonomously and within a team setting- Strong communication skills and a penchant for teamwork- Committed to process improvement and challenging the status quo
Qualifications:- Minimum of one year's experience in a comparable accounting role- Bachelor's degree in Accounting- Proficiency in MS Excel required; experience with QAD, Sage Fixed Assets, and Avalera Sales Tax software is advantageous
