Under the general direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, this position is responsible for managing all facets of talent acquisition and employee engagement strategic initiatives for UCR. This includes leading the talent acquisition team in the development and successful execution of talent acquisition, employee engagement, and DEI programs and recruitments.The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing strategies for talent pipeline development, workforce planning, and employment branding. Serving under a Center of Excellence model, the incumbent, through subordinate supervisors and professional staff, will help equip and develop the talent acquisition function across the campus.This position plays a key role in identifying improvements to processes, policies, and systems. The incumbent partners with human resources partners, organizational leaders, and hiring managers to develop effective and appropriate recruitment and selection plans in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. The position has a strong customer service focus and ensures that talent management and employee engagement programs are tightly integrated with campus objectives pertaining to diversity and inclusion, to identify, select, promote, and retain the best and most diverse workforce.Please Note:

Additionally, candidates may be required to conduct a presentation as part of the interview process.The full salary range for the Director, Talent Acquisition and Diversity Outreach is $96,700 - $184,100 annually. However, the budgeted hiring salary for this position is up to $150,000. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
