The Director of Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) oversees the provision of employee and labor relations services to the campus. The ELR Director manages a broad range of employee and organization-focused activities such as:Performance managementManagement consultationEmployee relationsCultivating the University's Principles of CommunityComplaint resolutionGrievance administrationEmployment/workforce legal complianceThis position plays a leadership role in programs with a strong focus on increasing employee engagement and workplace performance. The position has responsibility for representing campus interests in system-wide contract negotiations and for implementation and administration of over 15 collective bargaining agreements and relevant personnel policies.The ELR team is responsible for the development of strategic performance management and training, coaching, mentoring programs and initiatives, complaint resolution, grievance administration, and management consultation.Please Note:

Additionally, candidates may be required to conduct a presentation as part of the interview process.The full salary range for the Director of Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) is $118,800 - $233,200 annually. Salary offers are based on various considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
