QualiTech is growing, and we are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Technician to join our Food Solutions Production team at our Chaska MN location.

In this role you will be responsible for preparing shipments and loading trucks, receiving/checking incoming materials and unloading trucks, while continuously rotating inventory.

This is a full-time, benefits eligible position; Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping :Prepare and ship all outgoing product or other material with the appropriate documentation.Check order summary online to see what will ship, on what day and truck line, to see if product is ready to be picked.Repair damaged containers/bags.Stretch-wrap product correctly on pallet to secure the load.Mark pallet with company name, city, state, number of pieces and truck line.Load trucks properly and complete all paperwork.Check that driver is against the dock correctly and that driver chocked tires.Maintain food safety culture in regard to food defense, quality and cGMPs for production and warehousing of products.When shipment is picked up, run a bill of laden, which will generate an invoice and move stock out of inventory.Picking :

Before unloading truck, verify shipment with the purchase order and make sure paperwork is correct delivery for plant. Sign and date the bill. Enter shipment and product into computer in the Purchasing Order Summary. Check lot number, type of product and weight against the purchase order. Let purchasing know if there is a discrepancy.Check that the driver is against the dock correctly and that the tires have been chocked. Move into truck safely. Unload the truck safely, count the number of bags/containers, indicate damage on paperwork and refuse damaged or incorrect product.Follow quality control procedures on documents and sampling. Take samples of the product. Properly I.D. the pallets and release shipment into inventory. Notify quality control of short, damaged or questionable products. Repair damaged bags. Move product to inventory using FIFO method. Enter new location with computer system transfer.Provide continuous warehousing which involves cleaning, organizing, and reconciling inventories and proper rotation of stock.UPS/delivery services-check incoming packages, print up order summary. Check with customer service on questions, i.e. quantities, to check possible discrepancies (consistencies). Inform purchasing if something expected doesn't arrive.Education and Experience

High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent knowledgeForklift certification.

Physical Demands:

Employee is frequently required to forward bend/stoop, twist/turn, push/pull, flex/extend/rotate neck and wrists, rotate forearm, reach horizontally, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, squat/kneel, vertically reach. Employee must repetitively grasp objects simply and firmly and use fine manipulation dexterity. Must use hands frequently from floor to chest level. Must use both hands and feet together, separately and repetitively to operate equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Must be able to hear and follow instruction.

Work Hazards:

Stand and walk on dusty or wet floors. Climb ladders. Operate forklift. Handle chemicals and dry materials with hazards associated with each of them. Use/operate tools and equipment to perform various production tasks. Lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Exposure to noise, heat, excessive changes in temperature and humidity, and airborne dust particles.

Safety Equipment:

Respiratory equipment, hearing protection, uniforms, safety glasses, safety gloves and safety boots. Full-face shield as required on chemical Hazard Sheets. No full facial beards allowed.

Pay Range:
