Our security team is seeking an experienced Principal Security Analyst to join us. In this role, you will work independently to develop and implement processes and methodologies that enhance security across the company. You'll have the opportunity to ensure the day-to-day physical and personnel security of assigned facilities and that all security procedures are followed. What You’ll Do:

Be responsible for risk mitigation and protection, safeguarding company assets, personnel, and information from various threats

Implement robust security measures and protocols to reduce the risk of disruptions to operations and potential financial losses

Ensure security practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Maintain operational resilience by anticipating and preparing for potential security incidents or emergencies, with the goal of minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity

Implement efficient security measures and evaluate security technologies, processes, and resources to optimize spending while maximizing protection

Support new company initiatives by providing security assessments and recommendations for safe experimentation and development

Act as Facility Security Officer (FSO), Contractor Security Officer (CSO), and Contractor Program Security Officer and manage and own all Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) by sponsor requirements while maintaining interactions with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Industrial Security and Counterintelligence representatives

Manage personnel security clearance requirements

Manage required security awareness education

Work independently to lead various government security reviews/audits, conduct and document government-required self-inspections, and drive corrective actions

Conduct and document investigations into compliance, security violations, and compromises of classified information

Maintain broad expertise and knowledge regarding security standards, leveraging the knowledge to develop recommendations on best practices while being a mentor to the team

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

10+ years of experience as an FSO, Assistant FSO, Contract Special Security Officer (CSSO) and Special Security Officer (SSO)

Completion of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) courses and certification through the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)

Thorough working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Personnel Security and Adjudicative Guidelines, Director, Central Intelligence Directives (DCID), and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD)

Experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), e-QIP (electronic SF86), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), National Industrial Security System (NISS), and other security forms and security management databases

Experience in managing DoD Open Storage areas, SCIFs, etc.

Experience in reviewing Request for Proposals, contracts, and DD254s for security requirements

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently and recognize and adapt to different communication techniques

Can quickly build meaningful relationships with others, including senior leadership outside of your department, and is comfortable providing constructive feedback to your team members and management

Be able to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective solutions, and see those solutions through to completion

Must possess the creativity and resourcefulness needed to make reliable decisions and determine methods for new assignments

Can thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks and managing shifting priorities

Be proactive in sharing knowledge you’ve learned with others

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

Experience with classified Automated Information Systems (AIS)

Knowledge of COMSEC

Knowledge of Security Information Management System

We’ll also need you to:

Be able to travel up 50%

Be a U.S. citizen

Have a current Top Secret/SCI Personnel Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or a home office. It is largely sedentary, with the majority of the time spent sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment, including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
