With over 220 employees, 4 locations, and a fleet of over 140 service vehicles, our team of experts install, maintain, and design Building Automation and HVAC systems designed to help building owners and facility managers control building environments and operating costs.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead a team of technical sales professionals. As the Director of Sales, you will drive sales growth for our Building Automation/HVAC/Plumbing Service and Projects business in the D.C./Baltimore Regions. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute sales plans, establish sales goals, and drive revenue growth in the commercial/industrial sector. We are looking for a results-oriented leader with a passion for sales and team mentorship. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the BAS/HVAC industry, with deep knowledge of both service and project-based sales. This role will be pivotal in expanding our market presence, developing strategic relationships, and driving revenue across the region.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Leadership:Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for BAS/HVAC/Plumbing services and projects.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed individual and team sales goals.Prepare and present regular sales reports and updates to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.Market Expansion:Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the D.C./Baltimore area and surrounding regions.Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including general contractors, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners, property managers, and facilities directors.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. We are a relationship company, not transactional.Understand client needs and provide tailored BAS/HVAC service and project solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.Business Development:Develop and execute strategies for business development, including identifying new market segments, assessing market trends, and staying ahead of industry developments.Sales Operations:Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.Ensure efficient sales operations, including CRM management, reporting, and forecasting.Analyze sales data and performance metrics to track progress, evaluate effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of performance.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate with other departments, including Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and drive integrated solutions that meet client needs.Budget Management:Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.Training & Development:Implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related business experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the HVAC or building automation industry.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and energy management solutions.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while working in a team environment.Ability to develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive sales strategies.Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.Willingness to travel.Valid Drivers license in good standing.What We Offer:Highly competitive salary with performance-based incentives and bonuses.Opportunity to lead a dynamic team and drive growth in a high-potential market.Professional development and advancement opportunities within the company.Company car or monthly car allowanceGas card with EZ-Pass100% company paid Health insurance401(k) with company match3 weeks paid time offDental/Vision insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth savings accountLife insuranceTuition reimbursement
