NoDuties and Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator- Sport Programs is responsible for the overall administration of all aspects of a comprehensive sport program and experiences for students. This includes:Intramural Sports:

Planning, administration, and assessment of all aspects of programs serving thousands of students annually.Sport Clubs:

Planning, administration, and assessment of a 26 sport team program serving over 750 students daily.Intramural Sports Duties:General programming administration in sport, league, and playoff scheduling.Development of new programs to serve the larger LUC population.Student staff development of officials, office staff, and supervisors.Staff management including scheduling, conduct, and payroll.Contribute to the development of policy and procedures.Manage sports equipment and facility scheduling.Increase marketing of programs to the student population.Increase outreach to campus partners.Supervision of programming on evenings and weekends.Perform administrative duties as needed.Sport Clubs Duties:Overall administration and oversight of the sport club program.Collaborate with sport club organizations and campus stakeholders.Develop and implement a strategic plan for sport clubs.Implement and evaluate policies and procedures for sport club organizations.Serve as an official university representative to various sport club organizations.Provide risk management protocols to sport club organizations.Build a comprehensive risk analysis per club sport organization.Develop and advise the Sport Club advisory board.Monitor paperwork and documentation required.Provide emergency response coordination for team travel.Provide financial management including developing the annual budget.Assist in marketing of sport clubs to future and current students.Additional Duties:Manage student payroll and oversee payroll requirements.Assist with office responsibilities.Represent the office at various functions.Assist in Campus Recreation wide programs.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two to three years of related experience preferred.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Recreation, Sports Management, or related is required. Master's Degree preferred.Desire to work in a student affairs environment.Programming experience at the collegiate level is preferred.Knowledge of computers and related software.Skilled at teaching and presenting.Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.Ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies.Ability to organize and manage tasks.Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational programs.Ability to resolve conflicts.Ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to handle the physical demands of the position.Availability to work flexible shifts, evenings, and weekends as needed.Certificates/Credentials/Licenses

Valid Driver's LicenseAmerican Red Cross CPR, First Aid certifications (preferred or obtain upon hire)Computer Skills

Familiar with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fusion experience or ability to learn, IM Leagues.Supervisory Responsibilities
