The role

The Vice President, Controller will lead the global accounting activities to support the needs and requirements of a high volume and multi-entity environment. The Vice President, Controller will have overall responsibility for accounting processes, internal controls, objectives, policies, and practices to ensure accuracy and completeness for both internal and external financial reporting of the organization. This position will partner closely with all executives and managers to engage and gather information and complete projects to enable effective decision-making in support of the company’s goals and objectives.

This position is located in Irving, Texas.

What you'll be doing

Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable, Accounts Payable, Provider Pay, General Ledger, and Tax for global accounting activities of the organization.

Indirect and/or direct oversight of an accounting team composed of roughly 30 employees that are either hybrid, fully in-office, or remote.

Oversee review of consolidated financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP including technical accounting, disclosures, intercompany eliminations, flux analyses, etc.

Responsible for timely, accurate, complete, and meaningful financial statement presentation and reporting for both internal and external parties.

Develop and maintain internal controls and reporting policies.

Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop, and implement process changes and systems to increase efficiency, ensure accurate reporting, and build scalable accounting processes.

Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to promote forward, proactive thinking with ability to quickly pivot in a constantly evolving, high-growth environment.

Participate with cross-functional leaders to identify risks, design controls, and fill gaps of overall business operations.

Coordinate all audits both internal and external.

Responsible for tax compliance.

Responsible for day-to-day treasury management operations.

What you'll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (minimum).

Typically 12+ years of related accounting experience including at least 5 years of senior management experience.

Minimum 5+ years experience building and managing high performance teams.

CPA required.

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong knowledge of operational accounting and critical business processes.

Experience designing, preparing, and analyzing financial statements.

Experience with data and system conversions and implementations, especially ERP accounting systems.

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proven Excel and analytical skills in analyzing financial data, as well as, Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficiency in complex accounting systems and determining accounting treatment.

Ability to manage teams in remote, hybrid, and in-office environments.

Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting processes.
