Located in Jacksonboro, South Carolina (between Charleston and Hilton Head), Hammocks on the Edisto is a residential, behavioral health care facility specializing in the treatment of women dealing with an alcohol and/or drug addiction. The residents' typical length of stay is thirty (30) days. This is a small, intimate healthcare setting with the infrastructure of a healthcare facility situated in a home. Very unique opportunity for the oversight of a department in a smaller operation with a lot of opportunities to be active with your staff in maintenance, housekeeping, and dietary without the pressures of a larger corporation or building. Requires no more than 40 hours/week onsite and to be available if there were any utility emergencies.Job SummaryThe Director of Facility Operations is responsible for the overall administration of facility operations and housekeeping, taking pride in the overall appearance and function of the facility and its presentation to the community, patients, family members, and staff. Included in these responsibilities are (1) the development and maintenance of high-quality facility operations; (2) the development and maintenance of all facility regulatory compliance associated with EOC issues, development and implementation of policies and procedures; and (3) supervision of the housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary staff.QualificationsA Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory role is desired. Health care facility experience is preferred, but not required. Qualified candidates must have knowledge in all areas associated with EOC and an excellent understanding of regulatory requirements. Must also possess leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management; have the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices; have a working knowledge in operation and maintenance of facility management services, refrigeration and air conditioning, heating systems, generators, plumbing and electrical systems, blue print reading (preferred), security systems, and equipment maintenance; and must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations. There may also be occasions where assisting with transportation needs of the facility with the residents.
