The Senior Director Project Delivery Opportunity & Risk Management provides governance and oversees the successful delivery of a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project in Boise, Idaho by managing both risks and opportunities. He/she delivers independent reviews and focuses on identifying adverse project developments as well as opportunities with major cost and schedule impacts, to improve project performance. A professional and experienced view at key project management and functional disciplines is required to identify and prioritize issues during site walks and document reviews. The Senior Director partners with the project discipline leads and strives for being their advisor for unbiased analysis of risks and definition of improvement plans, as well as the Senior Management Team for decision making. In doing so, the role contributes to maintaining Exyte's excellent reputation of delivering high-tech facilities on time and in budget.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Establish governance frameworks and processes to identify, assess, and respond to project risks and opportunities.Perform site-walks to verify project progress, and check progress in all disciplines (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).Regularly meet with key project personnel/discipline leads to discuss progress, cost reports and potential issues.Review the Project Risk & Chance register and conduct thorough independent risk assessments to identify potential threats to the project success, with a strong focus on schedule and cost.Evaluate the impact and likelihood of identified risks and prepare risk scenarios.Set a vision for risk-aware decision-making across all project disciplines within the project.Consult with discipline leads and Corporate Risk about required actions, and provide independent recommendations how to manage issues and improve project performance.Review the effectiveness of agreed upon measures and support the project team with the implementation.Partner up with project discipline leads, US and Corporate functions and provide unbiased analysis of risks and recommendations.Lead executive-level discussions on key project risks and mitigation strategies.Ensure that project team members and stakeholders are aligned on project delivery objectives and risk tolerance.Work closely with the local project team to gather necessary information and insights while maintaining an objective stance.Ensure all risk management activities comply with company policies and industry standards.Support tenders and execution of similar projects, as needed.Develop and mentor teams in risk and opportunity management practices, fostering a proactive approach.Show your expertise

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field with additional qualification in commercial management.A Master's degree and/or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-RMP) is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience of large-scale EPC/EPCM projects, including P&L responsibility (partially or in full).Excellent relationship manager, excellent communicator who can bring people together.Excellent English speaker (both written and verbal).Holistic view on EPC/EPCM projects, understanding of all interrelated processes and structures.Ability to identify and prioritize significant issues.Familiar with Risk Management methods and techniques.Knowledge of project management software and methodologies, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, etc.).Strong conflict management skills.Negotiation and Influence: Strong negotiation and influencing skills to ensure stakeholder buy-in on risk mitigation and opportunity exploitation strategies.Stress resilient and adaptable, able to process a high volume of information in a short period of time.Autonomous, proactive & self-organized."Can do" mentality.Capability to interact in a multicultural environment.Non-Solicitation: We are not currently accepting third-party agency candidates for this position.
