Requirements for consideration:
Bachelor's Degree in a medical/science field or Perfusion technology.Completion of a perfusionist certificate.Five years of relevant clinical experience or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contribution.Training in pediatric cardiopulmonary bypass and pediatric ECMO.Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start.Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:
The Perfusionist 3 operates extracorporeal equipment for surgical procedures.Provides cardiopulmonary bypass set-up, disassembly, and maintenance for various surgical procedures (e.g. CABG, valve repair/replacements, VAD insertions, heart and lung transplants, non-complex aortic procedures and minimally invasive procedures).Collaborates with internal teams for maintenance on Perfusion equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.Participates in routine responsibilities related to daily operations of the Perfusion department while maintaining professional obligations.Other duties as assigned.
