Director of Meetings and Events
is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems and processes required to support Nextech’s event planning, execution, and reporting. This includes overseeing key events such as the annual EDGE users’ event, national sales meetings, the president’s club trip, and annual tradeshow schedule of over 100 events.The Director of Meetings and Events will work directly with members of Nextech’s executive management team, marketing and sales organizations, as well as outside vendors to ensure Nextech’s strategic, marketing and sales objectives are supported through tradeshows and other events the company participates in or produces. They will also provide direct supervision and direction to the events manager in the management of the company’s annual tradeshow schedule and other events as required.Essential FunctionsLead Event Strategy & Execution:
Act as the company’s meeting and events lead ensuring that Nextech’s event participation and execution are in alignment with the organization’s strategies and objectives.Event Planning and Contracting:
Lead site selection, vendor contracting, and cross-functional planning for key events such as the EDGE users conference and national sales meetings.Tradeshow and Booth Management:
Direct the management, maintenance, and fulfillment of Nextech’s booth properties and tradeshow schedule with outside vendor partners to support the requirements, goals, and objectives for all events.Lead and Promotion Management:
Create consistent processes to effectively promote Nextech’s presence at tradeshows and events including lead collection and management, pre-promotional and follow-up activities.Budget Management:
Develop and align event budgets with business goals, ensuring cost optimization and adherence to financial guidelines.Risk Management & Innovation:
Implement contingency plans for events and continuously innovate event formats to enhance engagement.Minimum RequirementsEvent Management:
At least 5 years of proven experience in handling corporate meetings and tradeshows, demonstrating strong leadership in large-scale events.Multitasking & Team Collaboration:
Exceptional ability to juggle multiple priorities in tight schedules, with a proactive team-oriented approach.Vendor Relations & RFP Expertise:
Skilled in developing RFPs, negotiating contracts, and overseeing event vendors with efficiency.Innovative Mindset:
A creative approach to enhancing Nextech’s event presence and strategies.Tech Proficiency:
Solid knowledge of event registration systems and tradeshow technologies.Strong Communication:
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with event technology and
integration with Salesforce and HubspotExperience in
negotiating, planning and directing software users conferences and tradeshows +1000 peopleExperience in
managing tradeshow schedule and fulfillment center for +100 event tradeshow scheduleWorking Environment/Physical DemandsWorking Environment:
