Senior Scientist, Radioconjugate Portfolio

Join our dynamic team at AstraZeneca as a Senior Scientist in the Early Oncology Discovery group. This role is perfect for a highly motivated and independent individual with a proven track record of scientific excellence and project leadership experience. You will be the tumor biology lead for emerging radioconjugate (RC) portfolio projects, working both with our internal project teams and external partners to develop novel targeted alpha therapies.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Scientist, you will serve as the tumor biology lead for one or more radioconjugate programs, ensuring the timely generation and dissemination of critical program data to enable project milestone decisions. You will stay up to date with relevant technical, intellectual, and scientific expertise in tumor biology and cancer modelling, particularly as it relates to targeted radioconjugates.
Essential Skills/Experience:
PhD Degree in a relevant subject area with a minimum of 3 years' relevant expertise in targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional project teams
Strong knowledge of cancer/cell biology, radiation biology, and/or biochemistry in the context of cancer
Expertise in routine cell culture, particularly culture of tumor cells
Expertise in molecular- and cell-based methodologies
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
A proven track record of productivity, as demonstrated by scientific publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated ability to coordinate project activities and provide scientific mentorship to junior scientists
Direct, hands-on experience in residualization & saturation binding assays, PET-CT imaging, biodistribution studies, non-clinical dosimetry, and other pre-clinical radioimmunoconjugate methods
Experience with targeted alpha emitter therapeutics
