Tierra Encantada, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN is actively expanding its brand presence across the United States. We are seeking a results-oriented Vice President of Human Resources to join our leadership team at Tierra Encantada. This role is responsible for managing the entire Human Resources function and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience operating effectively in times of change and growth while you are influencing employees to achieve the Company’s goals. You will be a part of a dynamic team that is enabling and accelerating Tierra Encantada’s strategic plan. The perfect candidate will have a passion to build a competitive, compassionate culture that focuses on continual improvement.

Lead the employee lifecycle, annual process, and HR technology

Lead administration of payroll, benefits and compensation programs.

Foster positive employee relations including leading employee engagement activities and following-up on ad hoc employee relations items

Support and serve as subject matter expert on HR processes and employee policies

Partner with external vendors and partners to ensure effective employee and business support

Forecast hiring needs and manage recruitment process; influence staff to ensure roles are filled promptly and within budget

Lead the implementation and on-going deliverables as it relates to HRIS

Address escalated employee queries and respond in a timely manner

Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization

Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor and employment legislation across states

Recommend process and policy enhancements to the improve service to your customers

Position Requirements

10+ years of experience in human resources or business administration

Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Franchising experience a plus

Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and timekeeping systems

Knowledge and familiarity with full cycle recruiting

Solid understanding of labor and employment legislation and payroll process

Ability to exercise professional discretion and confidentiality.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills – diplomatic communication style

Result driven mindset with the ability to work cross functionally

Expertise in driving business process improvement initiative

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Salary depends on qualifications, education, and experience.
