Job Summary

The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide scheduling and calendaring support for leadership in the office. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing special events, including meetings, conferences, and special functions, as well as coordinating event logistics such as venue booking, catering, and equipment setup. You will also liaise with vendors, staff and participants to ensure smooth event execution.

In addition, this role will perform general office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, managing correspondence, and preparing and editing documents. You will assist with project management tasks as needed and support various team members with administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.

What You'll Be Doing:

High school diploma/GED3 years of experience in an administrative support roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentialityStrong organizational and time management skills and attention to detailAdvanced computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.Ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels within and external to the university to support department needsAbility to interpret policies and procedures to proactively resolve issues or improve processesAbility to identify problems and implement or recommend solutionsDrafting, proofreading and editing skillsWhat We'd Like You to Know:

This is a part-time (60% FTE) position.
