The Junior Support Technician is responsible for quickly and accurately diagnosing technology and application issues and delivering fixes to our clients in a timely manner. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Set up new computers, phone, and account information. Update, track and maintain equipment inventory. Assist in testing and deployment of new applications and systems. Assist in upgrading and maintaining desktop and server systems. Phone and in-person contact with firm personnel to support technology and end-user support needs. Perform diagnostics and deliver requested and recommended repairs in a timely fashion. Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment, and software. Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues, including password resets and user account creation. Interact with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software. Support remote and traveling personnel with PC, laptop, and connectivity issues. Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT ticketing system, and any other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the firm's technology support needs. Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 6+ months experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, or remediating technology and application issues (preferred). A+ or other Technical Support or Desktop certification (preferred). Understanding, knowledge, and expertise with O365 services (preferred). Understanding, knowledge, and expertise with Office 2016 and 2019 installations and activations (preferred). Proven Hardware and Software installation experience for workstations, laptops, and servers (preferred). Knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services and ability to administer users and computers (preferred). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Position Type/Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
