Essential Job Functions & Duties:
1. Develop and monitor the annual Marketing Department strategy and budget.
2. Serve as council brand ambassador. Oversee brand look, voice, promise and provide training to staff to develop brand-proficiency. Support implementation of outward facing campaigns, using Girl Scouts of USA messaging and graphic assets when relevant. Implement G.I.R.L initiative across internal and external channels; support council-wide efforts to elevate national brand strategy.
3. Provide service to all departments; coach marketing team on the cross-functional relationship between marketing and internal customers. Manage projects to meet deadlines as established by internal customers. Lead development of materials and messages adhering to brand/quality guidelines.

4. Increase public awareness of Girl Scouting and our mission using online communication platforms and traditional advertising channels (television, radio, print and outdoor). Oversee council website content and functionality.
5. Act as primary spokesperson for the council, coordinating external messages for consistency and effectiveness. Lead Crisis Communication Team: keep messages, content, policy and contact information accurate, current and consistent. Author public relations strategy and deliver messages to stakeholders for all areas on related topics.
6. Effectively manage team members utilizing Managerial Practices, including continuous improvement, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, on-going coaching and completion of performance effectiveness appraisal reports completed within established timeframes. Work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a positive and supportive manner.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
- Four (4) or more years of work experience in Marketing- Proven experience in Marketing, with a focus on Social media, Email and Digital marketing- Proficiency in content creation, copy writing, and editing- The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Management experience. The ability to lead a marketing team, and to be deadline-oriented and decisive- Ability to manage budgets effectively and drive results through strategic marketing initiatives
- Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize multiple projects while being detail-oriented and organized
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Special Characteristics:
· May require additional hours beyond 8-5pm and over 40 hours based on workload and Council related events as needed.
