Assistant Attorney General

in the Statewide Prosecutions Section.Description:

The Attorney General’s Office seeks a proactive and dedicated attorney to join the Statewide Prosecutions Section. This role will primarily focus on handling postconviction relief cases and assisting county attorneys in defending such actions. The attorney will also prosecute a variety of criminal cases, appear in courtrooms across the state both in-person and virtually, and serve as a key liaison for county attorneys and local law enforcement.Requirements:

This position requires: a license to practice law in Iowa; a dedication to public service; and demonstrated research, writing, and oral-advocacy skills. The most competitive applicants will have experience as a prosecutor and in practicing both criminal and civil law.Pay and Benefits:
