Job Description:

As a Remote Employment Paralegal, you will support our attorneys in all aspects of employment law cases. Your role will involve research, drafting legal documents, case management, and client communication. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of cases from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Research:

Conduct detailed legal research on employment law issues, case law, and statutes.

Document Preparation:

Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.

Case Management:

Manage case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts.

Client Communication:

Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer inquiries.

Trial Preparation:

Assist in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and compiling trial binders.

Administrative Support:

Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing case calendars, and filing documents.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, or related field preferred.

Certification:

Paralegal certification from a recognized body (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment law preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of employment law, excellent research and writing skills, proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Communication:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Organization:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Tech-Savvy:

Comfortable using remote work tools and legal software platforms.
