A law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for their Fresno, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience in general civil litigation, with a preference for those with labor and employment litigation experience. The candidate will work closely with an established team of litigators and a robust client base to litigate on behalf of California employers. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a client-first approach are essential. Fluency in Spanish or prior experience in agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or the service industry is a plus. Admittance to the California Bar is required.Key ResponsibilitiesLitigate on behalf of California employers in labor and employment disputes.Collaborate with an established team of litigators to develop and implement legal strategies.Manage and handle cases from inception through resolution, including drafting and negotiating legal documents.Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda to support litigation strategies.Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.Maintain strong client relationships through a client-first approach and effective communication.Participate in case development, discovery processes, and settlement negotiations.Stay informed about changes in labor and employment laws and regulations affecting clients.Qualifications & RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar (required).1-10 years of experience in general civil litigation, with a preference for labor and employment litigation experience.Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to build and maintain a thriving legal practice.A client-first approach to handling cases.Fluency in Spanish or prior experience in agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or the service industry is a plus.Advanced legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.Strong courtroom and deposition skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines.Effective problem-solving skills and a strategic approach to litigation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.High level of professionalism and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.CertificationsAdmission to the California State Bar (required).EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.Strong academic performance and credentials are essential.Extremely competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
