Leading Westchester community hospital seeks a payroll specialist.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the bi-weekly process of payroll using UKG Dimension and Meditech 6.7, including all withholding, positive payroll, and tax report processing.Runs various bi-weekly payroll reports, adjustments, and special payments.Prepares payroll checks and direct deposit notices for delivery and distribution.Compiles, distributes, and files W-2s and transmits payroll reports to banks.Communicates with banks regarding payroll discrepancies and reviews Positive Pay files daily.Prepares and submits union dues, funds, and reports monthly.Confirms and mails bi-weekly withholding checks.Prepares all special check requests.Responds to management and employee questions and inquiries by phone and email.Prepares payroll reports for grant vouchering and other reports as requested.Assists with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing as well as annual audits.Qualifications
A minimum of two years of payroll experience.HS diploma or equivalent required.General accounting and payroll knowledge.Salary:
$77,000 - $83,000
