Our expert teams work together with the world’s leading technology providers to accelerate the delivery of tomorrow’s electronic devices.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsAs a Manufacturing Design Engineer, you will work on problems of diverse scope in support of day-to-day manufacturing team activity, new production introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement projects (CIP).Work with Production Personnel (technicians, planners, buyers), and a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to generate Plans of Action and resolve complex manufacturing issues and implement corrective action.Setup and drive a multi-disciplinary team (Mechatronic, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Test and/or System Engineers) to address product-level issues (manufacturing customer concerns, supplier issues, tool characterization or improvement projects).Fully understand and apply problem-solving methods (7-Step/8D) to uncover root causes and devise solutions for sophisticated problems.Perform failure analysis.Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Configure BOMs to meet factory requirements.Generate, read and interpret design drawings, schematics, and perform updates of models or drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.Analyze manufacturing data from eQuality, a manufacturing enterprise software (MES) via statistical process control to drive process, specs, and design improvements.Understand basic project planning, dependencies, and milestones. Interpret and update Gantt charts.Potential travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.Qualifications, but not limited to:Experience with Optical, Mechatronics, HVAC, and Electromechanical technologies and sophisticated, precision, industrial equipment.Precision Motion Control Instrument background; microscopes, robotics, medical, stages, etc.Ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems.An effective communicator able to share technical information with functional groups and provide executive-level reports to management and customers.Results-oriented and driven to excel.
