The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities relating to various income and balance sheet accounting transactions. This role is responsible for preparing account reconciliations, performing financial statement analyses and other special accounting/finance projects, as needed.THE DAY TO DAY:Perform and prepare monthly close journal entries and analyses by target due dates including, but not limited to the following: revenue, cash, debt, intercompany, payroll, fixed assets, and other accounting transactions as needed.Perform and prepare daily bank reconciliations.Perform and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations by target due dates.Work cross-functionally with other departments in the organization on various projects and reconciliations, specifically with Supply Chain and Finance departments.Assist the Director of Accounting in the preparation and validation of support and analyses requested for the annual GAAP audit.Document desk procedures/processes for the role.Support accounting management with special projects, ERP process improvements and ad hoc requests.AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

Education/License/Certification:

Required:Bachelor’s degree in AccountingExperience:Required:3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in public or private accounting.Preferred:Business Central experience.Industry experience with 3 tier system and excise tax.High-volume ERP experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the creation and manipulation of Pivot tables, V-/H-/X-LOOKUP, IF-THEN, and other formulas.Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting applications.Ability to operate with a high level of energy and strong work ethic focused on outcomes.Ability to demonstrate good business sense, including the ability to correctly interpret financial information.Must uphold personal honesty and integrity.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required.Highly detailed oriented and organized in work.Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance.Ability to think conceptually, flexibly, strategically and make sound business decisions.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Physical requirements:Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
