Job Purpose: Develop an overall global Supply Chain strategy for the Global Services division to support existing programs and emerging opportunities through solutions that leverage an existing network of operating sites and capabilities. Identify and lead the development of new Supply Chain capabilities supported by a comprehensive data management solution, including the ongoing design, refinement, and development of new requirements to enable Synchronized Supply Chain systems functionality extending to include shop floor, warehousing, distribution and management reporting beyond Sanmina and integrate Customer requirements and Supplier networks. Provide guidance and direction in establishing and standardizing best-in-class processes and execution globally across all divisional sites for Supply Chain collaboration and Inventory management. Nature of Duties: Lead a global team of assigned direct reports to support and oversee Supply Chain and Business Systems operational responsibilities execution across the Division. Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team that provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Serve as executive representative to customers and prospects related to supply chain matters portraying and driving a culture of global standardization, forward thinking, systems capabilities and proficiency, consistency and synergy. Provide strategic management of supplier selection, performance and capacity needs to assess the ability to meet supplier quality and delivery requirements. Envision and design a data management (IT) framework and requirements to support the Division’s current and strategic interests and objectives; a comprehensive solution that enables an end-to-end Synchronized Supply Chain through integrated systems functionality. Work in collaboration with Sanmina’s corporate Sourcing Group to develop partnerships with key suppliers to reduce raw material inventory, implement VMI/Consignment programs, improve delivery lead times and inbound logistics cost for all division sites. Define overall responsibilities of Supply Chain and Materials Management personnel in SGS, for both the division support team site based teams. Define competencies, skills required, and processes for job execution. Collaborate with managers of Manufacturing, Purchasing, Business development, Engineering and the Cost Accounting Group to develop annual, quarterly and monthly supply chain plans. Drive supply chain to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost of ownership. Develop an effective system that manages inventory fiduciary responsibilities, ensures accuracy and minimizes risk, disturbances and surprises. Develop strategic, revenue generating, supply chain related service offerings. Productivity and Efficiency: Develop supply chain optimization and execution strategies leading to optimal customer service, product supply, inventory liability/turns and cost minimization, as well as new product introductions and discontinued / obsolete products, across all of SGS operations globally, in accordance with Sanmina’s SOPs, regulations, or laws. Enable and enhance market driven services, through integrated, flexible, scalable, data management tools to develop capabilities and enhancements to eliminate reliance on ‘spreadsheet management’. Define and manage SC / Materials metrics and performance to maximize business effectiveness and efficiency. Work with site based production planning / Supply chain group to develop and implement standardization, continuous improvement, and best practices across global sites in the disciplines of forecasting, supply chain management, inventory management and master scheduling. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required in Information Technology with significant emphasis on Business Systems; MBA or related advanced degree a plus. Deep understanding of how data management (IT) systems support, enable, and enhance production and support operations. 8+ years experience in supply chain and logistics related work experience with a demonstrated knowledge of MPS and MRP purchasing/planning systems. APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certifications are highly valued. Able to manage both manufacturing / assembly (MRP driven) as well as services (probabilistic BOM) supply chain strategies and tactics. Experience in operations control and supplier Performance Excellence focused on eliminating undue liabilities and risks. Strong background in electronics manufacturing and related service logistics, preferably as contract manufacturer or 3PL. Experience in coordinating strategic and operational sourcing decisions on new programs. Able to monitor current supplier market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges. Experience in high-tech applications for relevant services including BTO, CTO, reverse logistics, repair, direct order fulfillment, and engineering services. Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations. Demonstrated competence in lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban). Excellent understanding and the ability to manage capital and expense budgets. Financial analysis or cost accounting experience is desirable. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proven ability to solve complex problems and lead teams to solve complex problems. Strong ability to plan at both strategic and operational levels. Detailed and a highly-developed tactical, problem-solving skill set. High tolerance for changing priorities with a keen sense of urgency. Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude and outlook, strong work ethics with high level of integrity. Personal computer skills, with proficiency in spreadsheet, presentations, and word processing, preferably in Microsoft Office Suite and Google. Aptitude to learn and use company SC tools.
