Winnebago Industries is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Operations & Strategy to join our team based in Eden Prairie, MN. This role is hybrid.
The Director of Supply Chain Operations & Strategy will be responsible for leading supply chain operations and driving strategic initiatives that optimize end-to-end network efficiency, cost savings, and implement best practices across the enterprise.
This role will provide subject matter expertise to identify areas of opportunity in areas including but not limited to supplier performance, planning, network optimization, inventory management, verticals and implement solutions to build efficiency and drive value for all businesses & brands. This position will partner with the VP, Supply Chain to develop and execute against the strategy for supply chain that ultimately achieves the strategic priorities and our business objectives.
Day to Day of the Role
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to develop supply chain strategies that drive business objectives & achieve strategic priorities.
Leverage data and targets to establish a road map to enhance supply chain performance while maturing capabilities.
Monitor industry and market trends to identify opportunities and facilitate best practice sharing.
Create a culture of collaboration to identify and effectively problem solve for key challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Ownership of functional S&OP, inventory management, supplier performance best practices & the maturation roadmap for each.
Supplier Performance:
Architect and implement Enterprise Supplier Performance vision, strategy, policies, and a clear Supplier Performance organizational framework (Establish, Monitor, Improve).
Establish and Lead the Enterprise Supplier Performance Steering Team comprised of Senior Supply Chain and Supplier Quality Leaders from all Business Units.
Develop the capability to measure and manage supplier performance efficiently and effectively to create a competitive advantage in our industry.
Establish and harmonize core supplier performance processes, procedures, systems, capabilities, and robust data management across all business units.
Embed the Supplier Performance culture and framework of Establish, Monitor, and Improve, throughout the enterprise.
Network Optimization:
Evaluate and architect the optimal end-to-end value chain (Plan-Source-Make-Deliver) to minimize risk, control cost and maximize quality for Winnebago Industries and customers.
Assess logistics networks & vertical operations for opportunities to improve speed and cost efficiency.
Implement tracking and visibility metrics and systems to enhance monitoring and decision-making capabilities.
Facilitate contract negotiations.
Inventory Management
Develop and implement an end-to-end inventory management strategy, ensuring accuracy to enable operational efficiency.
Develop KPIs and partner with stakeholders to implement and monitor.
Partner with business unit leaders and stakeholders to implement inventory practices with a focus on process improvement from BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy, inventory transaction controls, cycle counting, campus layout to management of excess & obsolescence.
Other duties as assigned based on business need.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a supply chain, business, engineering, or other key related discipline.
A master's degree in a related field is highly desirable.
15 years+ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Logistics, Procurement.
7 years+ of Supply Chain Senior Leadership roles and responsibilities.
5 years of durable goods manufacturing experience required.
Experience leading complex projects and leading teams of senior leaders or experts required.
Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies highly desirable
This position will require travel to other Winnebago Industries locations.
