You'll use your experience and skills to support design teams from concept development through product implementation. You'll be responsible for performing thermal analysis on a wide variety of designs and materials, interpreting analytical results to support testing and design optimization, and producing engineering documentation, reports, and technical data.Responsibilities:
Manage external consultantsPerform thermal analysis on a wide variety of designs and materials - including composites and metalsManipulate large-scale thermal models to support internal thermal solution developmentInterpret analytical results to support electro-mechanical system testing and design optimizationProduce engineering documentation and reports, manipulating technical data from hardware testingWork closely with engineers, manufacturing, and technical management to communicate design issues and develop solutionsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline with 6+ years of experience performing thermal analysis or A Master’s degree with 4+ years of experienceDemonstrate proven experience performing thermal analysis within the space industry, including familiarity with environmental acceptance/qualification testing criteriaPossess proficiency with tools such as Thermal Desktop, SINDA FLUINT, and ANSYS WorkbenchesExhibit expert understanding of heat transfer, flow, and thermodynamic principlesDemonstrate proficiency with spacecraft thermal controlAbility to write and present technical reports to multi-disciplined teamsPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with electro-mechanical systemsExperience with composite materialsExperience with cryogenic environmentCapability to work effectively as a team player or independentlyCompensation and Benefits:

The position is available at multiple levels, and the corresponding salary ranges are as follows:
Thermal Analyst III: $118,000-146,000
Thermal Analyst IV: $136,000-169,000
