**Data Warehouse Architect**at VIXXO Scottsdale, Arizona, United States Vixxo is seeking a Principal Data Developer to be based out of our Scottsdale, AZ office. (50/50 Hybrid)THE ROLEWe are seeking a Data Developer with deep diverse technical experience who can navigate the challenge of pushing the organization to envision forward thinking solutions that meet or exceed our key business performance measures. You will work closely with technology and business leadership to envision and develop strategies that challenge current thinking, processes and rules. You will enable strategic, big-picture design thinking for the business and how it operates, while collaborating with business and technical counterparts to drive delivery of systems that clearly align to key business performance indicators. You will provide a comprehensive, enterprise and operational view, ensures output and artifact quality at all levels. You will be expected to work across the enterprise domains to maintain and enhance existing Data Warehouse Architecture drive architecture and design runways that result in implemented business solutions.TOP RESPONSBILITIES* Develop new ETL procedures to support the business needs. Address user concerns concerning data integrity. Support implemented BI Solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and existing ETLs.* Work with Enterprise and Solutions architects to provide strategy and direction of applications, information, and technology in support of business strategy. This includes working out transition/migration plans from current state.* The creation of categorizing and classifying information with well-defined structures, definitions, and context to facilitate consistent alignment of business process with business requirements.* Development of business glossaries with terminology definitions, standards associated business rules and data boundaries.* Define canonical data models, data flows, etc.QUALIFICATIONS* 5 + years experience in developing and managing ETL processes. Experience with Talend a plus* 5 + years experience in relational database and SQL experience, preferably Oracle 12 or higher. Experience with ExaCS a plus* 5+ Years experience in information/data architecture, data sourcing, design, message and transformation design, and conceptual and logical data modeling.* College Degree in IA, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.* Good understanding of modeling information structures, data gathering requirements, user needs and behaviors, organizational platforms, labeling techniques, and creation and use of navigational systems* General knowledge of controlled vocabularies, faceted classification, and techniques of knowledge sharing* Ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization, business and IT* Experience with Data Management and Data Governance Practices and a practical understanding of their respective roles* Experience with MDM tools and modeling* Work effectively as a leader and member with a variety of personality styles and management levels in an extremely dynamic environment* A solid background in Data Modeling and such concepts as UML, ORM diagrams, Erwin, Datawarehouse/Transactional Modeling differences, and schema design is necessary.* Strong familiarity with the various relational/SQL-based systems as well as specifics involving questies, DML, data types, extensions, etc.* A good understanding of Big Data as well as a background in various NoSQL/non-relational systems and tools such as MapReduce, sharding, distributed caching, Memcache etc, along with the ability to discuss some of the leading tools such as Hadoop/HBase, Cassandra, Redis, Azure IoT Hub, Data Lakes, Stream Processing, etc.* A proven track record and understanding of business processes and structures.
