Job Description: Data Analyst
Experience Required:
10-13 yearsResponsibilities:Work directly with the client user community and business analysts to define and document data requirements for data integration and business intelligence applications.Determine and document data mapping rules for movement of medium to high complexity data between applications.Adhere to and promote the use of data administration standards.Support data selection, extraction, and cleansing for corporate applications including data warehouse and data marts.Create and sustain processes, tools, and ongoing support structures.Investigate and resolve data issues across platforms and applications including discrepancies of definition, format, and function.Create and populate metadata into repositories.Create data models including robust data definitions such as entity-relationship-attribute models, star or dimensional models.Create data flow diagrams and process models, integrating models across functional areas and platforms.Work closely with DBAs to transition logical models to physical implementation.Employ data mining techniques to achieve data synchronization, redundancy elimination, source identification, data reconciliation, and problem root cause analysis.Essential Skills/Experience:Data Engineering Experience.Experience in the DW platform and data modeling skills.Experience in client engagements interpreting clients' business needs and providing recommendations for data solutions.Experience of working within a global organization, preferably within the manufacturing sector.Strong experience with reporting tools.Working knowledge of Airflow/Astronomer is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Familiarity with the agile development life cycle framework and related tooling such as Jira or Rally.Experience with Snowflake, Hadoop, and fluent with SQL, Postgres SQL, Vertica, MongoDB, and data analysis techniques.Snowflake Certification would be an added advantage.Extensive experience in ETL, shell or Python scripting, data modeling, analysis, and preparation.Experience in Unix/Linux system files, systems shell scripting.Good to have knowledge of any cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc.Good to have experience in BI Reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Good problem-solving and analytical skills used to resolve technical problems.Ability to work independently but must be a team player; should be able to drive business decisions and take ownership of their work.
