Currently ManTech is seeking an experienced Nuclear Aircraft Carrier ( CVN) Maintenance Manager

for our San Diego facility.

Job Summary:

This CVN Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the material condition and war-fighting readiness of an aircraft carrier. This support will include determining maintenance availabilities, assisting in scheduling of maintenance, identifying repair facilities, and maintaining a budget. This person will need to interface with Type Commander, shipyard facilities, various program managers, and ship's force.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of eight (8) years Naval CVN or Naval Nuclear Maintenance experience inclusive of Naval Submarine Nuclear standards

Evaluating maintenance provider estimates during project planning phase prior to start of availabilities

Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; able to develop and maintain spreadsheets, analyze data received and provide recommendations both short term and long term in order to ensure material readiness

Able to discuss and brief senior naval officers and civilians (both within and outside of Commander Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL’s) chain of command) with regard to system and equipment status and provide recommended course of action to repair

Preferred requirements:

Over Six (8) years experience with ship’s availability planning. Preferably, Regional Maintenance Automated Information System (RMAIS) in work package screening and ship’s availability planning

Fluency in the use of RMAIS, ability to review and validate, sort, screen and provide feedback to the respective ship and work centers on jobs submitted to ensure information contained is correct and all inclusive in order to broker work items to repair activities

Strong knowledge in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers

Ability to analyze and evaluate the Current Ships Maintenance Projects (CSMP), making recommendations for the brokering of maintenance actions to the Maintenance Program Manager

Clearance Requirements:

US Citizenship and a US Secret Clearance is required, an Interim to Start is acceptable

Physical Requirements:

Lift and carry 50 pounds

Extensive time in stationary position

Climb and descend stairs and galleways

Be able to move around the office and or ship

Operate standard office equipment

Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients

Must be able to observe and report in a Naval command setting

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500-$122,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
