Currently ManTech is seeking an experienced Nuclear Aircraft Carrier ( CVN) Maintenance Manager

for our San Diego facility.Job Summary:This CVN Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the material condition and war-fighting readiness of an aircraft carrier. This support will include determining maintenance availabilities, assisting in scheduling of maintenance, identifying repair facilities, and maintaining a budget. This person will need to interface with Type Commander, shipyard facilities, various program managers, and ship's force.Minimum Requirements:A minimum of eight (8) years Naval CVN or Naval Nuclear Maintenance experience inclusive of Naval Submarine Nuclear standardsEvaluating maintenance provider estimates during project planning phase prior to start of availabilitiesStrong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; able to develop and maintain spreadsheets, analyze data received and provide recommendations both short term and long term in order to ensure material readinessAble to discuss and brief senior naval officers and civilians (both within and outside of Commander Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL’s) chain of command) with regard to system and equipment status and provide recommended course of action to repairPreferred requirements:Over Six (8) years experience with ship’s availability planning. Preferably, Regional Maintenance Automated Information System (RMAIS) in work package screening and ship’s availability planningFluency in the use of RMAIS, ability to review and validate, sort, screen and provide feedback to the respective ship and work centers on jobs submitted to ensure information contained is correct and all inclusive in order to broker work items to repair activitiesStrong knowledge in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriersAbility to analyze and evaluate the Current Ships Maintenance Projects (CSMP), making recommendations for the brokering of maintenance actions to the Maintenance Program ManagerClearance Requirements:US Citizenship and a US Secret Clearance is required, an Interim to Start is acceptablePhysical Requirements:Lift and carry 50 poundsExtensive time in stationary positionClimb and descend stairs and gallewaysBe able to move around the office and or shipOperate standard office equipmentBe able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clientsMust be able to observe and report in a Naval command settingThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future
