As an Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for Category Management, you will have responsibilities that encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of subcontracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experience in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation, and post-award administration. You will be part of a team that fosters open communication of ideas and encourages innovation at every level.

The Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist responsibilities will include:

Approaching competitive and non-competitive sourcing in request for quotations

Optimizing volume pricing through bid package strategies

Evaluating supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase orders

Extracting, monitoring, analyzing, and validating data information from multiple sources

Developing engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolution

Leveraging your skills and talents throughout this role

In this role, you will make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

This role is Hybrid based in San Diego CA, full-time remote may be considered but hybrid is preferred.

Basic Qualifications Include the Below:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution

1+ years of professional experience in supply chain management or related fields, including logistics, manufacturing/project management, business management, or information systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and self-sufficient time management skills

Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences

Proficiency in MS Office suite

Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional experience in a regulated industry, including Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications

Salary Range:

$49,200 - $81,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
