Job SummaryThe Admissions Events Specialist will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing admissions events on campus, while also providing day-of support for large-scale campus events and summer conferences. This role is embedded within Conference and Events Services but involves significant collaboration with Admissions teams.

ResponsibilitiesAdmissions Event Planning

Lead the planning and strategic execution of all on-campus Admissions events, ensuring prospective students and families have an outstanding experience.

Coordinate with the Admissions teams to understand event requirements, goals, and target audiences. Set measurable goals to evaluate event success.

Develop event timelines and strategic programming content to meet the needs of target audiences at various stages of the enrollment process.

Correspond with guests as part of the preparation and follow-up to evaluate event success in relation to goals.

Manage event registration systems and track attendee data in Salesforce.

Plan, organize and manage all event logistics to support event goals, including reserving event resources and ordering catering.

Supervise day-of event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.

Schedule Admissions Counselors and Student Event Assistants to provide day-of event staffing.

Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Track budget spending for Admissions events.

Student Employee Management

Hire, supervise, train, and develop a team of Student Event Assistants to provide Admissions and university-wide event support.

Summer Conferences

Support summer conferences and camps in June and July. Provide exceptional customer service through dorm inspections, material preparations, and operational support.

Campus Event Support

Assist in day-of execution of assigned events including, but not limited to, Welcome Week, Festival of Christmas, and Commencement.

Other duties as assigned.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is required.

Prior experience with, or show aptitude to learn, Event Management System (EMS) software.

ExperienceRequired: 3+ years of related experience.

EducationRequired: Bachelor's degree.

Additional Information

This position requires non-routine hours at certain times of the year including occasional evenings and weekends to support events during the academic school year (August-May).

Additional weekend and evening shifts will be expected during summer camps and conferences (June and July).

40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Some work may be performed outdoors in various weather conditions.

Salary: $47,000/year.
