Admissions Event Planner

Posting Summary
Responsible for planning events and managing recruitment programs that involve college counselors and Vermont events that support the Admissions Office recruitment functions. Manages the logistics of on and off campus events to support student recruitment efforts as well as Vermont counselor programs. The Program Specialist works with constituents across campus and external entities (hotels, airlines, local businesses). Plan programs for college counselors. Serve as primary contact for Vermont counselors assisting the territory managers. Manage the Green and Gold nomination process. Answer incoming phone calls to Undergraduate Admissions Office and provide administrative support. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific related field and one to three years' related experience required. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, required. Basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and familiarity with relational databases).
Desirable Qualifications
Effective organizational skills desired and event planning expertise.
Anticipated Pay Range
Up to $47,000

Bargaining unit position, Background Check required for this position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime)
