Applicants are encouraged to include in their cover letter information about how they will further this goal.Posting Summary:Provide oversight and supervision for three event planners responsible for the planning and execution of off-campus yield receptions, on-campus prospective student events, on-campus yield events and special population events. Recruit and select employees; plan/facilitate trainings and staff meetings; coordinate schedules.Develop strategy for admissions events in collaboration with office leadership. Provide direction and oversight for all logistical arrangements for programs, including reserving rooms, food, A/V support, assign and manage staff assignments. Event evaluation and follow up: direct and provide guidance for a comprehensive report of each event including cost, attendance, highlights, areas needing improvement and recommendations for future programs.Collaborate as an integral member of the Admissions Visit Experience team to support flow of campus visits and effective customer service to visiting prospective students/families. Serve as an Admissions Counselor to prospective students/families. Oversee a geographic recruitment territory and conduct activities to recruit academically qualified and diverse students; visit high schools, attend college fairs, represent the University of Vermont both on- and off-campus; and conduct information sessions in a variety of venues. Review and make decisions on undergraduate applications. Serve as Counselor of the Day on a rotating basis.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of professional admissions or related experience. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Experience in a supervisory or team lead role required. Demonstrated multicultural competency and a commitment to recruit a diverse student population and ability to model inclusivity required. Basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and familiarity with mainframe student data bases) required.Desirable Qualifications:Desirable skills include: organization, event planning skills, attention to detail, working knowledge of computer applications, interpersonal and communication skills.Anticipated Pay Range:

$60,000-$63,000Other Information:

Special Conditions: Open to current UVM employees only, occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), this position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, background check required for this position.FLSA:
