Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Baton Rouge is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-4 years of active litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent communication and writing skills, and will be prepared to handle various aspects of litigation cases.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned cases.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.Manage discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regarding case status and developments.Assist in case strategy development and execution.Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal precedents.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.2-4 years of active litigation experience.Strong academic credentials, including law school ranking and class standing.Excellent communication and writing skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Drafting legal documents and pleadings.Courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.Communication and negotiation skills.Case management and organization.Attention to detail and accuracy.Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Collaboration and teamwork.
