#Vice President

The Vice President will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to an affordable division of a national multifamily property management company. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the company's affordable housing properties are managed effectively, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, and driving initiatives to enhance tenant satisfaction and community impact. The Vice President will collaborate closely with the executive team to achieve the company's mission and strategic goals. This position will report directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the company's goals in the affordable housing sector.

Collaborate with the executive team to set and achieve long-term objectives.

Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the affordable housing market.

Operational Oversight:

Oversee the management of all affordable housing properties in the company's portfolio.

Ensure the implementation of best practices in property management, maintenance, and tenant relations.

Monitor performance metrics to optimize operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including HUD and LIHTC requirements.

Implement and maintain compliance programs to meet affordable housing standards.

Oversee the preparation and submission of required regulatory reports and documentation.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage operational budgets for affordable housing properties.

Work with the CFO to ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.

Implement cost control measures and financial strategies to ensure sustainable growth.

Tenant Relations and Community Impact:

Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction through effective property management and customer service.

Implement programs and initiatives to support tenant well-being and community development.

Address and resolve tenant issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Team Leadership and Development:

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing property management team.

Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes professional development and employee engagement.

Ensure effective succession planning and talent management within the operations team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Maintain strong relationships with investors, community organizations, and government agencies.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public forums.

Communicate transparently with stakeholders regarding company performance and strategic initiatives.

Innovation and Improvement:

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in affordable housing management.

Implement new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Qualifications:Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in property management with affordable housing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. COS and LIHTC certifications a must.

Skills : Strong operational management, strategic planning, and financial management skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction in affordable housing.
