We are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a team of business intelligence engineers to deliver insights and analysis across our product portfolio. You will own metrics, dashboarding, and measurement across platforms and products. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, who has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with large-scale data. Your work will directly influence Amazon business and customer promise.

Key job responsibilities

Manage and lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and own organization-wide analytical solutions including metrics, attributions, etc.Work with in-house scientists, product management, engineering, and business teams to identify new BI capabilities and projectsContribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex and ambiguous problemsAnalyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting and business strategyProduce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reportingSimplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activitiesDevelop and drive best practices in data integrity, consistency, analysis, validations, and documentationLearn new technology and techniques to meaningfully support product and process innovation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experienceExperience with SQLExperience with ETLExperience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar toolsExperience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
