We are dedicated to helping victims of these horrible crimes heal the wounds of their abuse by empowering them through the legal process.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Paralegal to work on a hybrid schedule in the San Jose area. Prior experience in a personal injury law office and with civil litigation is required. Responsibilities include preparing pleadings and court filings, extensive client contact, preparing discovery requests and responses, assisting in the intake of potential client calls, communicating with judges and counsel, and working with our team implementing efficient processes and systems. Additionally, this position will work closely with investigators and attorneys regarding intake tracking, rejecting and signing up cases.We offer a competitive salary and complete benefits package, combined with a great working environment.Qualifications5+ years of prior civil litigation experience, including drafting motions, preparing discovery, record review, scheduling, on-line filing, hearing and trial preparation, file and calendar managementPrior experience with personal injuryWorking knowledge of legal calendaringStrong verbal and written communication skillsSuperior client relations and people skillsMust be extremely organized and detailed oriented to be successful in this positionTechnology savvy and proficient in Microsoft, including Excel and Word
