Assistant Director, Annual Giving Programs and Reunion

to join the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business team in the Alumni Affairs & Development division, (AAD) based in Ithaca, NY.The Assistant Director will work within the SC Johnson College Annual Giving Program, collaborating across department leadership, college development and engagement teams, central AAD staff, Major Gift Officers, and college and unit partners to plan and lead the Johnson School Reunion Class Campaign Program. The assistant director manages 6 - 8 Johnson School Reunion Class Campaign Committees each year, emphasizing personal solicitations for outright annual gifts at the $5,000 level and above. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, and class communication support, along with class-specific outreach, peer-to-peer fundraising, and engagement efforts.The Assistant Director will also play an important role in data management and analysis, working with the Director of Annual Giving Programs to generate key reports and metrics, analyze results, and respond to opportunities to advance the college and AAD initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with annual giving programs, development, and engagement staff to oversee and coordinate ten Johnson Reunion Class Campaigns, as well as fundraising, engagement, and stewardship for the Johnson Half Century Club.Directly manage 6-8 classes and the Johnson school Half Century Club, recruiting, training, and coordinating campaign activities with approximately 100 new volunteers annually.Develop reports, manage and analyze data for annual giving and Reunion fundraising campaigns, with acute attention to detail on past giving behavior as well as setting and monitoring progress towards current goals.Innovate, create, and manage class-specific Johnson Reunion communications and events.In partnership with the Director of Annual Giving Programs and Associate Director for Student Campaigns and Engagement, provide data support, reports, and metrics for the Johnson Dean's Leadership Committee (peer-to-peer fundraisers) and the Johnson Graduating Class Gift Campaign.Coordinate with donors, gift officers, annual giving, and advancement services colleagues to ensure accurate gift crediting, focusing on Annual Fund and Reunion gifts.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.Knowledge of the practices of volunteer management, fundraising, advancement communications, and/or marketing communications.Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel.Database management experience and customer service skills required.Ability to articulate the case for supporting business education in varying forms of communication.Ability to work as part of a team.
