Perform inspection of aircraft engine parts, articles and components to ensure product quality in accordance with AAR's Quality Management System to meet all current regulatory requirements and to meet or exceed AAR's customers requirements. Work as a team member with peers/lead/supervisor/manager on development, deployment and execution of Quality/Inspection department/work center related metrics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Process incoming and outgoing material to meet AAR's Quality Management System (QMS) and Customer Requirements.Follow FAA and DoD Regulatory guidance to establish sufficient traceability of products being inspected to help prevent the introduction of counterfeit and suspect unapproved parts into our inventory and/or our customers inventory.Inspector will be required to have a basic understanding of product certification from the Production Approval Holder and certification relative to products for return to service (airworthiness).Inspection of product can include but is not limited to document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life limited records, materials subject to electrostatic discharge (ESD), etc.Inspector may be required to review technical/regulatory data which may include but not limited to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA Order, Code of Federal Regulations, etc.Inspector may be required to use calibrated measurement/test equipment that can include but is not limited to digital micrometers, pin gages, digital height gages, digital calipers, etc.Ensuring that all work is performed/inspected to Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, Customer instructions, appropriate specifications and standards, etc.Inspector must be flexible and may be required to assist within AAR's Commercial Quality Business Unit and AAR's Defense Distribution Business Unit.All other duties as assigned.CORE COMPETENCIES:Commitment to company values and ethics by Doing It Right.Quality: Works accurately and meets quality/safety requirements; questions errors and reports inconsistencies; follows processes and procedures.Interpersonal Skills and Teamwork: Listens attentively and responds appropriately; cooperates with others and assists in a variety of team roles.Dependability: begins work on time, adheres to planned schedule, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately, shows flexibility to meet deadlines.Motivation/Productivity: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy.Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.Organization: very detail/quality oriented and always comes prepared.Initiative: plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, prepares for problems or opportunities in advance, undertakes additional responsibilities.Computer skills: must have basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through different computer systems.Training and Development: Complete all required training in a timely manner and participate in continuous improvement events; receptive to coaching and feedback.QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree, GED, required.Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
