rr Position Summary:
rThe Classification/Compensation Business Partner is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a market-based compensation system in support of the campus salary administration efforts. This position will be responsible for partnering with supervisors and other functional and subject matter experts to provide compensation analysis.
Duties may include:
Provide technical and analytical support in the area of classification and compensation, including analyzing and evaluating jobs to determine the market rate assignmentReview employee wage rates, and providing wage recommendations based on a set of parametersAct as a primary point of contact for compensation inquiriesSubmission of salary data for salary surveysAssist with merit administrationConduct compensation market analysesInternal equity reviews, routine reporting and ensuring maintenance of compensation analysis systemsSupport other areas of Human Resources including employee relations and reasonable accommodationsOther duties as assigned
rr Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
{=html} - Three years human resources experience - Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or Human Resource Management may substitute for the above experience - Experience with extensive data exporting, tracking, preparation of spreadsheets and documenting reports - Planning, organizing and prioritizing assignments to independently meet deadlines - Applying verbal and written skills to communicate with a variety population of staff, students and faculty, using tact and diplomacy - Maintain confidentiality with HR records and matters - Interpreting administrative policies and establishing guidelines and procedure

Knowledge of UI policies and proceduresExperience with UI mainframe systems, such as PeopleAdmin, Banner and/or SIS+Knowledge of UI Human Resources policies and proceduresUnderstanding of the Fair Labor Standards ActAnalytical nature combined with a clear focus on thoroughness and quality of informationMust be able to effectively convey compensation observations, trends and recommendations through reports
