Job Overview

This position reports to the Vice President of Operations. As a Branch Manager, the primary objective is to cultivate an environment that fosters exceptional world-class service for our Credit Union members. This involves leading and inspiring a team within a branch setting to effectively address the financial needs of the community. As a digitally-focused leader, the role encompasses a commitment to training and coaching staff not only in the seamless utilization of digital channels and services but also in the understanding of the technology employed within the organization. The overarching goal is to consistently enhance the member experience.

The responsibilities include the strategic recruitment, coaching, and development of a dedicated team, fostering a work culture that prioritizes a strong work ethic contributing to the branch's overall success and achievement of production goals. The ideal candidate should be an ambitious individual capable of infusing a sense of enjoyment into the workplace, all while guiding a team of enthusiastic learners, creative problem solvers, and collaborative team players. Assist with outside marketing and promotional activities for members and potential members through business development, financial presentations, trade shows, and local events. Monitor that omnichannel vision and strategy align with organizational goals.

Position Details:

Salaried

Schedule: Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays

Pay Range:

$61,517.00-$92,276.00

Skills and Experience

Education - Bachelor's degree in business, management or related field

Required Experience - Five years of financial experience and three years of branch operations. Five years of management experience to include at least one year of managing through subordinate supervisors.

Obtain a FiCEP Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) certification within twelve (12) months of the position start date and maintain recertification as needed

Experience in leading a diverse and complex operational environment while using good judgment to make sound decisions

Experience in supervising, leading, training, and developing staff to achieve individual and organizational goals

Knowledge and auditing of applicable federal regulations governing consumer lending, credit cards, mortgage, equity loans, savings and checking to fulfill NCUA's requirements

Knowledge of retail banking industry best practices, industry concepts, related laws and regulations

Must have excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and communication skills, including the ability to interact diplomatically with staff, management, vendors, and members; proficiency in effective verbal and written communication

Experience in responding to requests for complex financial information and data, as well as the ability to analyze statistics and reports to identify business performance and trends

Deep understanding of retail bank industry best practices, industry concepts, related laws and regulations

Adaptability to effectively organize, plan, and manage time while applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment

Data-driven to understand complex financial information from data, to include the ability to analyze key performance indicators and reports identifying business performance, forecasting, and trends

Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications

Role Description and Essential Duties

Optimal Branch Performance

- Provides leadership and assistance to team members through effective objective setting, delegation, communication, coaching, and recognition. Conducts regular team meetings and daily huddles to keep personnel informed of policy, procedural, and legal changes/updates. Reviews branch performance and discusses areas needing improvements as well as develops plans to implement change.

Branch Operations

- Stays current with trends and operational innovations relevant to branch operations and organizational strategies. Conducts regular meetings with branch leads to systematically assess and redefine goals for optimal Branch Operations. Ensures the attainment of branch goals and objectives.

Development and Implementation of effective Branch planning

- Develops and implements operational plans, policies, procedures, and strategic objective goals.

Coordination and Working Relationships

- Maintains active communication with management regarding significant problems and concerns and assists branch personnel with daily needs. Develop efforts to continuously improve member experience and increase overall service satisfaction.

Responsible for handling member interaction

- Oversees all member interactions at the branch. The Branch Manager is a resource for team members to turn to and provide guidance for questions related to credit union services. Promotes cross-selling efforts and provides solutions for members and team members as needed.

Professional Relations

- As an ambassador of the credit union, a Branch Manager will seek ways to constantly improve service and delivery systems. Adapts to business changes readily and enthusiastically supports the development of change. Participates in credit union activities that advocate the credit union movement and Raiz's values on a national stage.

Member Education

- Performs as an empowering mentor to provide guidance to our members and builds trust in our ability to service their financial needs. Directs our members to our trusted experts in their respective fields for expert advice.

Communication

- A natural communicator who will take the time to discover the members' goals and identify needs and feature benefit advantages. Assists members with understanding complex and intimidating topics to empower them in making well-informed financial decisions. Exhibits behavior and adherence to policy for the entire branch team.

Compliance

- Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations, in addition to Customer Identification Program (CIP). Attends required annual BSA training and required compliance training.

Assists with other duties assigned or identified.
