is currently looking for a
Division Vice President of Operations . The right candidate will be responsible for assisting the Division President develop the financial goals and operating plans for the division. Directs the business plan to achieve desired profit, customer satisfaction and return on shareholder's equity. Directs and coordinates the day-to-day business operations to ensure the achievement of the division’s business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs the obligations and signature duties required by the elected office stated in the Corporate Authority resolutions
Works with the Division President to establish the business plan and goals for division profitability and growth
Oversees the policies regarding financial management, service strategy and direction, marketing, quality and general operating methods
Participates and implements the development of aggressive marketing, business development and expansion plans
Works with the Division President to oversee all operations of the division, including sales, administration, production, warranty, organizational development, product design, land acquisition and development
Review operations and performance of the different aspects of the division. Works with Division President to take corrective action as deemed necessary to achieve goals
Focus daily on processes and procedures to maximize resources to meet division goals and objectives
Promote an atmosphere of accountability that focuses on quality and customer satisfaction
Foster environment and processes to create repeat customers
Recognize talent, recruit, retain and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful division
Ensures the management staff receives adequate functional data, assistance and service from staff groups/departments
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to travel overnight
Build strategic relationships and a network of business contacts
Constantly monitor market, identify trends and support the Division President to react quickly
Ensure all employees represent D.R. Horton, Inc. and the division professionally to the public and local government offices
Ensure division compliance with all company policies and procedures and enforce all established standards
Work with Division President to provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personal management, capabilities and professional skills
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises 2 or more employees
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business Management or related field from a four-year college or university
Seven to ten years related experience, homebuilding experience
Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
Basic accounting or finance knowledge
Demonstrated strong managerial and leadership background, providing a successful record of setting, establishing and meeting goals
Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to train, mentor and motivate
Demonstrate problem solving skills by using persistence and ability to overcome obstacles
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
Regular exposure to outside weather conditions.
The noise level is generally moderate

Experience in land and lot acquisition
Experience in a leadership role involving operations, sales, and production
