Overview: The Microsoft Customer and Partner Sales (MCAPS) Premium Security Senior Finance Manager will lead and execute core finance processes across forecast, planning, and go to market (GTM) for the Security Solution Area, focusing on the premium end of security offers. The Senior Finance Manager will partner with the Worldwide Sales Technical Unit (STU) GTM team and consolidate insights related to premium security products, partner on sales strategy and execution with the business, Field controllers, driving impactful insight across the end to end Security stack, sales motions, usage and account opportunity identification. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to influence and drive impact in the fastest growing portfolio of the company, by influencing sales growth, fueling usage and landing Land and Expand framework for opportunity identification. The role is part of the broader and newly formed Modern Work, Devices and Security MCAPS Headquarter (HQ) Finance team and will act as a lead coordinator for our forecast and planning cycles. If you are keen on working with and learning from finance and business teams in the Field and at Corporate, and are energized by teamwork and playing an integral role in helping leaders see beyond the numbers, this role is for you!We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to:Have direct business impact on a fast growing multibillion $ product portfolio in an entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment, learning to drive agility at scale.Have a growth mindset and desire to continuously learn and innovate.Get exposure to the overall MCAPS organization, including Segments/ Business Groups/ Field.Partner with finance and business leaders to drive business growth through deep health analytics and trends.Help design drivers based forecast and planning models, building on insights gained from current year performance.Align revenue targets to market opportunities, driving insightful analysis of trends and upcoming opportunities/ risks, leveraging GTM strategies and work programs/ investment and management metric changes to enable growth.If the learning and impact opportunities excite you, this Security Senior Finance Manager role is for you!Responsibilities:Perform analysis and research of present and future financial performance, financial plans (e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities) and economic transactions (e.g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, etc.) for the assigned product portfolio.Lead and coordinate the MCAPS revenue forecast and planning processes for Security solution area through consolidating insight from the product subject matter experts within the team.Help with landing revenue targets by assisting the field in understanding key strategies, priorities, drivers, and opportunities for growth for the products in scope.Partner with finance peers in other corporate teams, field, solution area, and sales strategy groups for current business health insight, forecast, and target alignment.Act as a change agent, relentlessly seeking opportunities to respond to business needs, optimize and drive scale.Provide business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue goals and drive shareholder return, including revenue generation, resource allocation, trends, and future requirements.Manage and execute tasks and assigned processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with business leaders to define action plans for financial and business analysis findings.Apply advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis.Develop and manage strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks.Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drive improvements in efficiency and accuracy.Contribute to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models.Provide advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.Lead efforts to leverage technology to increase productivity (e.g., report optimization) and to ensure accurate conclusions.Integrate varied data sources and assimilate the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative.Communicate results in a compelling and understandable message.Articulate understanding and awareness of business partner situation.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes.Drive corrective measures and consult with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.Collaborate with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.Other: Embody our culture and values.
