The role involves working independently and effectively, producing high-quality legal work, and contributing to business development while adhering to the highest ethical standards.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage high-level and strategic aspects of intellectual property cases related to life sciences from inception to conclusion.Produce quality legal work and meet billing requirements to ensure excellent client service.Handle complex litigation and intellectual property issues, including but not limited to immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and pharmaceuticals.Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.Work independently and demonstrate a strong interest in career advancement within litigation.Assist in business development and client generation through both group and individual efforts.Maintain compliance with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.Stay abreast of legal trends and developments in intellectual property and life sciences.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred.Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).At least 6 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or clerking experience.Preferably 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney in a law firm.Licensed to practice law in good standing in Illinois.Skills:Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.Proficiency in legal research and drafting complex legal documents.Demonstrated interest and capability in advancing a career in litigation.Proven track record in client service and business development.Location:
