Witch's Hat Brewing Company is currently looking for a General Manager.

We need a strong manager to work with us to help us manage our busy Taproom and Kitchen. Our food is all SCRATCH, our beer is proudly CRAFTED in house, and our business is FAMILY OWNED. For this position we are looking for a key person who:

Is a self-starter that leads with a positive and productive mindset, and always keeps their finger on the pulse of the taproom.

Will be the responsible person and set the tone and flow for each shift with positive and thoughtful energy.

Always leads with professionalism. Someone who is approachable, can communicate effectively, will set and maintain clear expectations and establish accountability with their team.

Refuses to compromise on our standards. Craft the best possible product with the highest quality ingredients and deliver to our customers with the most amazing service possible.

Maintains the best possible guest experience by having a strong presence on the floor and in the kitchen, and engage with our guests and team to ensure the amazing service that The Hat strives for.

Will ensure that all operations of the restaurant are firing on all cylinders and support each department throughout each shift as needed.

Knows where to be and when to be there by having a pulse on the restaurant. Prioritizes the importance of following good processes consistently in order to run a smooth and efficient operation.

Will contribute and implement new ways to add value, increase sales and productivity, and how to save money for the business. Look for opportunities to increase guest check average and maximize our seating daily.

Will proficiently manage POS transactions and menus, end of day reporting, cash handling procedures, and all other essential business functions. Takes responsibility and follows-through with urgency to ensure issues are resolved.

Will help to build and update The Hat’s handbook, SOPs, and policies and implement with consistency and accountability.

Will put a great deal of focus and energy toward training our crew with consistency and clarity, giving the crew all the tools they need to perform at their highest level possible.

Will be excited to educate the staff on all aspects of who The Hat is and what we do.

Beer and food education

The Hat’s philanthropic efforts and community engagement

Responsibilities:

Lead our amazing crew, giving them all of the tools they need to be successful at doing what they do best – connecting with our guests and giving them the best possible service and product!

Motivate the good people we have hired to do their best.

Reward and acknowledge the crew for doing well.

Help create a fun, focused atmosphere, where the employees and the guests are happy and feel respected and safe.

Work with our Chef to maintain proper food and labor costs.

Create and manage the schedule for the Taproom and Kitchen.

Hire - advertise open positions, keep detailed records on interviews.

Ensure our team is providing excellent service to the best customers around!

Touch those tables, check in with our guests.

Make sure The Hat stays super clean and presentable.

Uphold current SOPs and create and implement new SOPs and policies as needed.

Uphold current training practices and documents and make improvements as needed.

Manage the Mug Club.

Inventory and ordering.

Record, track, and grow taproom sales.

Help to plan, organize, and execute events.

Hold your team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed and keep detailed records on employees.

Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met in every department.

Keep a vigilant eye on over-serving, as Witch’s Hat is a huge advocate of responsible serving.

Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed.

Contribute to weekly manager meetings.

Be present on the floor to support staff during peak business days and hours (including weekends) and be closing manager at least 2-3 shifts per week.

50-55 hours per week on site expected.

Qualifications:

2+ years management experience or 5+ years of restaurant experience.

Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers.

Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture.

Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant.

Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
