There aren't many developers in the country that are pursuing new deals as actively as Weller right now!Weller is currently seeking a Director of Development to oversee projects from development, entitlement, design through construction.About Weller Development:Innovative Projects: Currently starting up a 3,000-acre development in Napa County, CA that will be a luxurious Six Senses branded hotel and resort. Weller also purchased 50 acres in the Bahamas to develop yet another Six Senses resort with additional land under contract to build another potential resort, marina and golf club.Extremely well capitalized - Weller recently signed a deal with Mohari Hospitality to co-invest up to $2.5B in future luxury hospitality developments.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Actively participate in day-to-day project management.Manage day-to-day communication and coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants.Coordinate design and construction meetings.Prepare monthly draw packages (equity and debt), which includes invoice processing, budget tracking, and monthly reporting updates to project owners and lenders.Review general contractor and consultant invoices for accuracy and compare to applicable proposals/contracts.Create and maintain basic financial analyses to assist with project decision making.Provide direction to financial analysts on input assumptions and general updates to project proforma models.Prepare investor and internal reporting.Lead RFP and contracting process for architects, engineers, contractors, and other outside consultants.Coordinate and attend meetings with regulatory and permit officials to complete entitlements and permits.Support efforts of major financing events for projects as they commence construction.Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays.Effectively manage an internal team.15-20% international travel.In-office position in Bethesda, MD.Education and/or Experience:Direct work experience in the real estate hospitality, residential, or mixed-use development industry required.Bachelor’s Degree required.Ability to coordinate project development process and maintain project schedules.Strong communication and presentation skills, both internal and external.Attention to details and ability to execute tasks with accuracy and professionalism.Exceptional team player with excellent interpersonal skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to get on the ground floor level of one of the fastest growing hospitality and resort developers in the country!
