Acara Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Shadyside PAThe Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of accounts receivable and payable functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicatePosts payments by recording cash, checks and wires to maintain an up-to-date billing system.Monitor AR aging reports; make best efforts to collect all unpaid balancesDaily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts.Enter and process vendor payments through accounts payable system.Review all invoices for appropriate approvals and apply accurate account coding.Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.Address and respond to vendor inquiries.Maintain 1099 vendor files for accuracy and up to date W9's and prepare annual 1099 forms for vendors.Receives and processes vendor and resident calls and emails.Assists, as required, in preparation of accounting reports, month-end financials, and other tasks as requested by Controller.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.2 years minimum experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills
