Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Director of Ticketing to lead and oversee all aspects of our ticketing operations across a diverse range of concerts, events and venues. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our ticketing processes are seamless, efficient, and aligned with the overall sales goals of our events. The Director of Ticketing will manage the box office team, oversee ticketing systems, and be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis related to ticket sales. Additionally, this role will take charge of group packages and sales, premium experiences (e.g., VIP, Cabanas, Private Suites), and the enhancement of sales through strategic data management and ticketing page optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Lead and manage the ticketing team, including hiring, training, and scheduling of Box Office and data analytics personnelOversee ticketing operations for all events and venues, ensuring smooth, efficient, and customer-friendly processesAct as the primary liaison for all ticketing operations, maintaining strong relationships with promoters, ticketing staff, guests, and partners

Event Ticketing & Sales:

Manage event setup and maintenance within ticketing software, including programming, reporting, and ticket holdsManage and oversee seating build charts and layouts for events and venues, ensuring alignment with promoters and entertainers while maximizing revenue potentialLead the development and sales of group packages and premium experiences, including VIP servicesCollaborate closely with marketing, production, and entertainment departments to optimize revenue strategies, including up-selling and cross-selling opportunitiesOrganize and oversee nightly Box Office operations during events, ensuring smooth Ticket Sales, Will Call, and Ticket Scanning processes

Financial & Data Management:

Maintain accurate Box Office accounting records, perform daily reconciliation, prepare deposits, and generate daily financial reportsPrepare detailed Box Office settlement reports promptly after events and participate in event settlements as requiredAnalyze ticket sales data to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies, and support marketing effortsEvaluate ticketing data to best understand who our customers are and provide recommendations and strategies to build both existing and new audiencesManage and input data for building and optimizing ticketing pages to enhance sales and user experienceDevelop and monitor KPIs to assess event success and drive continuous improvement

Systems & Compliance:

Maintain and optimize ticketing systems, ensuring they are user-friendly and up-to-date with the latest technologyHandle escalated customer service issues related to ticketing and work to resolve them promptlyEnsure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding ticketing and salesMonitor ticketing software and hardware, promptly reporting and resolving issues

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in ticketing management, preferably in an event production or venue management settingProven experience with building out tickets efficiently using the following systems; Ticketmaster, AXS, Etix & TicketspiceProven experience doing seating charts for concertsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and AsanaExperience in managing group packages, premium experiences, and VIP servicesExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in financial reporting and data analysisAbility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, especially during event preparation and executionProven leadership skills with experience managing a teamStrong follow up and responsive communication skills
