Purpose:

The Central Demand Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing demand forecasts to support the SIOP process. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely demand data is available for planning and decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Forecasting:

Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on statistical analysis of historical data, market trends, and customer insights.

Utilize advanced statistical models and forecasting software to predict future demand.

Provide manufacturing the level of detail needed to produce build and capacity plans.

Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to develop demand forecasts for new product launches (NPI), promotional activities and product end of life (EOL), ensuring that engineering capacity needs are forecasted.

Data Analysis:

Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer information to identify patterns and trends with potential to impact demand.

Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models and methods to improve reliability.

Own and maintain forecast accuracy KPIs.

SIOP Process Support:

Support the SIOP process by providing accurate and timely demand forecasts and insights, owning the content creation for the Demand Review meeting.

Participate in SIOP meetings and contribute to the development of integrated plans and supporting scenario analysis.

Collaboration:

Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to gather relevant information and insights for demand planning.

Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment of demand forecasts with business plans.

Inventory Optimization:

Collaborate with supply chain planners to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory to meet demand forecast and NPI builds.

Develop strategies to reduce stockouts and improve service levels.

Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present demand forecasts and analysis reports to senior management

and other stakeholders.

Communicate forecast changes and their impact on supply chain operations.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement best practices and process improvements in demand

planning.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in demand planning and

forecasting.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain management, or a related field.

Experience with demand planning software and statistical forecasting techniques.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and forecasting.

Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with business objectives and improve demand planning processes.

Strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Microsoft Excel).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $84,800 and $111,300. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
